YEAH baby! Liberation!~ Hm. Where shall I start? Went RJC for RMUN 2nd briefing yesterday. Epic fail I was, cos when I reached the presentation room, I just realised I forgot to bring up my thumbdrive! So in the end the RJ ppl called another delegate while I ran down to get my thumbdrive. Met Nick (chuan), who was my head fac at SLC at HRC. Small world isn't it eh? I decided to join his bloc. Then we had another day of boring lessons and return of results, which was absolutely crap. My results were disappointing. Just hope that my languages and SCS could pull me up. And not forgetting Bio! Don't fail me this time! But language arts lessons on Friday was pretty cool. We went through a short story, titled "Love is a Fallacy". It's about this so-called super smart guy trying to hook up with a friend of his classmate. Since he felt that she was not as smart as him, he decided to teach her logic, as well as some fallacies committed while thinking. The story has an epic funny ending I guess, cos the poor guy got owned by the girl in an totally epic fashion. We then filled in a worksheet on explaining the various logical fallacies discussed, as well as making some examples for each of them. Well, I was trying to come up with an example for Dicto Simpliciter, when I suddenly thought of Annoying Orange. So yea, I made an example in the Annoying Orange's context, sort of like what he would say that was a Dicto Simpliciter. This orange would say, "Apples are red. Therefore all red fruits are apples." Was out at Sim Lim Square with Yong Jie today after flag day. He had wanted to get his CID materials (electronic parts) while I wanted to get my 50mm f/1.8 prime lens. After searching though the entire Sim Lim Square looking for dynamos and LED lights, we had decided to go to Sim Lim tower to try our luck. We hadn't put our hopes too high but well, as luck would have it, we found all the electrical parts stores all spammed there. So went around the shops comparing prices and got all the parts needed. Went home later to try out my new prime lens, the EF 50mm f/1.8. It's super cool. The bokeh created in the background is super nice and soft, and it takes tact sharp pictures. tonight, we remember the times that we spent here, the joy and the laughter that we shared tonight we cherish the moments spent together because it's the only time we have look at us, and see our smiles this is where we all belong i'll remember the times we spent together until my last december... tonight Council camp ended today. It was unlike any other camp before, with the water games and such. The camp was fantabulous! Woots~ But camp also made me feel. When we were like singing the songs during the 1st night, I felt overwhelmed, I don't know why, but 3 years of my life in council just returned to me in a flashback, and I had the feeling of deja vu. I felt the exact same feeling 2 years ago, when the council structure was changed and I had the feeling that I was going to lose the disCo comm that I had just found my love for. I was confused, cos then came 30th council which had almost caused me to lose my interest in council. I had wanted to quit, but the Y2 juniors reporting for gate duty every morning just kept me going. 31st had been the most satisfying term for me, and I was dreaming of the possibilities we could have as welfare department when a new wave of change came along, that left me at a loss of what to do. Now the same feeling came back to me, I was wondering, what is council going to be like? After the camp, I hope I've found the answer. Yesterday's trip to Mr Gan's house to 拜年 was super fun:) Played tennis and boxing on Wii with Zi Siang and Chi Kan. Playing boxing on Wii was super hilarious! It's like it just won't obey the controller no matter now many times you punch in the air. Got thrashed by Zi Siang in the end:P Then Yi Thong was like saying: "他们玩到沒力，我笑到沒力。" Then played blackjack with Zi Siang, Geraldine, Siwei, Chikan and Mr Gan. Won some $ for dinner in the end:D Went for dinner at Carl's Jr. The Big Carl that they have is super 爽 to eat, and the fries with salsa and onions are to die for. |
