I kept looking outside during science, and noticed that the weather was great.

Lessons were a bore as usual, but we went LT4 to borrow books during Lang Arts. When the librarian was scanning the books, she said that I have a fine of $5.40. I keep forgetting to pay that fine. Maybe paying this weekend.

Common test is dangerously near. I wonder when will I start revising. Had SC duty for Rubik's cube competition. Some sec 3 guy won in all categories. His speed cubing timing? 22 seconds. Shocking.

I must sleep earlier. I've been sleeping too much during lessons.

A better day tomorrow? Make my day with a smile and it will come true.

    Smile.
Had my campaign speech today. Hope that it was okay, although somehow I don't think it's the case. Well, Siwei suggested that we do a campaign poster. I will start on it soon.

DRIVE.PASSION.SERVICE. That's our motto. Anyway, after my speech, Haokuan pointed out to me that it wasn't Spiderman who said "With great power comes great responsibility." It's Uncle Ben. Dang.

I think i'm lagging behind in maths. I just can't understand a single thing about quadratic functions and equations. If I don't get it right soon, I can forget about passing my maths EOYs. I must work harder.

Having American Maths Contest tomorrow. Sigh. Another afternoon burnt like that. A smile will make someone's day.

    The beauty in my eye...
Had 2nd lesson of swimming today. Swam 10 laps in pyjamas. Actually swam 12 laps before the instructor changed his decision. Waste of time..
Went to have lunch after swimming. Then went for band prac after lunch. Was totally burned out during sectionals--Tired and unable to focus. I wonder how am I going to survive band tml.. And I need to refresh my knowledge of the Major Scales. Ms Chan may test me tml. Dang.
Made chicken burger during Home Econs. The meat patty was spammed with onions, but it came out quite tasty nevertheless. Mrs Chew wasn't in the best ofmood. She scolded alot of people during lesson. Looking forward to next week's Home Econs; we are making chicken stew, provided that Mrs Chew doesn't cancel next week's lesson.
I hope that tomorrow will be a better day for me, and for you.

E&C week was fun! We went to Negeri Sembilan for 3D2N. Visited lots of places.

    22/7/08

I reached school at 5.30am. Super early. Saw Siqi and his friend waiting outside the main gate. Saw shimin and her friends, Yujer and Shaun. The drink stall uncle came and opened the gate for us. Went in school at about 5.50am.

We set off at 7.15am,cleared customs and reached Yong Peng at about 11am. Then we continued to Tanjung Tuan(Cape Rachado). It is one of the few remaining forest reserves in Malaysia. We went through the marked trail to the Tanjung Tuan Lighthouse.

However, once we reached the lighthouse,we could not enter it,as the gate was locked. Thus,it was a pity that we did not get to enjoy the panoramic view of the Straits of Malacca.

It could be imagined that the view from the lighthouse would be spectacular. We went on to the Teluk Kemang Public Park, feeling disappointed.

The Teluk Kemang Public Park is a very popular beach for picnikers. At the beach, I saw a large four-wheeled motor vehicle cruising on the beach. I would try it if I had the chance to.

    23/7/08

We went to Seremban, the state capital of Negeri Sembilan. We went to the state museum, built without a single nail. (We spotted nails though.-.-) We explored the museum grounds and experienced the artifacts of the past.

I bought a "Chicken seed-eating" toy from the Cultural Handicraft Centre.

After visiting the museum,we went to the Jarem Toi waterfalls. We walked through paths of thorny branches and pools of liquidfied mud,we had to stop as there was no more path up to the waterfalls. On the way back,my feet sunk into a pool of mud and took away my shoe along with it. After a struggle,I pulled it out. Nevertheless,it was very addictive, even if it means having to walk with a wet and muddy shoe.

I then went on to Jusco to shop. Nice can? Stocked up on some pens. Drank latte from Starbucks and got scammed into buying 2 bags of wedges. Luckily Shaun,Eugene,Zisiang and Joel helped to finish them.

    24/7/08

Went to a Malay Kampung and had cultural exchange with them. Ate the traditional malay lunch and tried some fruits from the fruit orchard. Xinzhe ate lots of durian. I bet he's feeling horny.(The tour guide said that durian has a Viagra-like effect.)

We then went to the Orang Asli village for a tour and to distribute rice to them. That marked the end of our trip to Negeri Sembilan. Took 4 hours to arrive back in Singapore, and I bought some Tambun biscuits from Yong Peng before continuing back on our way to Singapore. Was dead beat from the lack of sleep, but 100% fun! Looking forward to OBS next year. 6 hours of canoeing. woots.

When your mind goes in a never-ending swirl...

Had Home Econs today. Baked rock buns. Made of dates, sunflower seeds, flour, sugar and margarine. Quite nice actually. Then had my 1st swimming lesson. All the boys were like crowding at the changing room door, not daring to move anywhere else. Fear of indecent exposure. haha. Swimmed 10 laps of Breaststroke. The instructor then rectified our stroke, then we swam 2 more laps using the correct stroke. Much faster. Eugene,Lloyd and Bryce was sent to our group,as they did not manage to convince the instructor that they don't know how to swim.
Had racial harmony day rehearsal at LT1. Not that bad. Eugene's dance pwns!
I will break out of this swirl.

    Saturday, July 12, 2008 @ 10:18 PM

Here's "Runaway" by Electrico, a local rock band group. It's a beautiful song. Support local musicians! Enjoy.

    Lyrics:
    Truly Julie, in another day
You know it really isn't far away that I'm longing to be with you
You'll be waiting for another sun, but that's when things begin to come undone
There's sense that's running in the air, and that's the time that you should never dare
Running away you can't pretend, up to the door and back again with me
    I know
Running away it drives me wild, even someone who makes me mild like you
    I know
There's a place where eveything is free and everyone is just like you and me like i've never seen before
But i would never ever wanna go, to a place unless you told me so, then you said that you wanted more
There's a sense that's running in the air and that's the time that you should never dare

    Monday, July 7, 2008 @ 8:18 PM

When will this fence of mine be removed?

Rotted away at home today. Ma prepared 芋头糕 for lunch. The taste was... heaven. I haven't tasted Ma's 芋头糕 for ages, and I'm surprised that she made some for lunch.
Full dress rehearsal for speech day tomorrow. Sigh. I need to bring alot of stuffs to school. I shall sleep early today. I may need to start listening more in class.

    Sunday, July 6, 2008 @ 11:41 PM

Love brings colours to your heart.

Had my hair cut today. I now possess a crappy crop of hair that looks like a joke. Sigh. I dozed off on the barber's chair. The best part of a haircut is being able to sleep on the barber's chair until your hair is done.
Finished almost all the homework except for maths assignment. The maths assignment is quite long... It's going to take me a long time to complete it. Bracing myself for the onslaught of algebra ahead!
You are the one who puts a smile on my face. No matter how gloomy a day was, seeing you makes me smile.

    Saturday, July 5, 2008 @ 9:22 PM

What is life? Watch this video and you will find out.

    @ 8:17 PM

Rain. That's what I relate to.

Mei had an eye infection today. Rather serious. Hope she would be alright after seeing the doctor.
Had drama class today, then had a long nap at home to make up for a week of insufficient sleep. Haven't had a nap in ages... Was feeling rather gloomy while going home, and watched the rain falling while on the bus. I like rain, especially when you are feeling down. I shall not hesitate anymore. There's something I must say it to her now. Before it's too late.

    Thursday, July 3, 2008 @ 7:25 PM

    I will overcome this storm.

Had disCo and Prom Night organising committee meeting today in the canteen. I wasn't supposed to go for the disCo meeting, since the meeting is for Mr Yeo to find out why the whole of disCo except 2 had not run for council this year. Let us do what we want, won't they? We are able to make decisions for ourselves, and there's really no need for the teachers to find out why we had made the decision. Had gate duty, where I felt rather awkward for the first time facing seniors who are not running for council this year. But I ran. Was it beacause I want the power? I hope I'm not evolving into a merciless person forgetting who he is. I hope my decision to run for council is sane. I will never forget that disCo is part of me.
I think I got addicted to being a "Saikang warrior" organising events. I decided to help organise the prom night for sec 4s this year. But first, we have to know if our seniors want a prom night or not.
    I believe I'm still sane.

    Wednesday, July 2, 2008 @ 9:08 PM

I'm capable of compassion. But I'm also capable of cruelty. I hate to be cruel, but if it is nessessary in order to get rid of artificial elements, I have to do it. I do not like an artificial person pretending to be my true friend. This betrayal hurts, and I feel like screaming.

    @ 8:34 PM

I haven't had the courage to say it to her, but keeping it in the heart hurts.

Had alumni talk during assembly today. The talk was quite enjoyable; the speaker is a charismatic person I must say, and the whole school was awed by his marked improvement in his results from sec 3 to sec 4. To me, it sounded rather unbelievable, but he had did it. His story was a inspiration for us to achieve better results.
Primary school students came for some science fair. Saw some juniors from Keming there. hehs.
Had science lecture in the afternoon. Ms Lai overshot by over 20 minutes.
