Was supposed to meet Zi Siang and Kaixin for Geog competition project discussion today. But Kaixin had forgotten about the meeting,thus Zi Siang and waited at Kaixin's house there for awhile before going home.  Love pool. haha.Went to play pool with Song Ken at CSC. We played for abt 2 hours. Haha. Song Ken and I were both pool n00bs,but we had fun nevertheless. I tried jumpball,but failed,cos the cue ball rolled too slowly after "jumping" over the ball. Facilitated at the annual prefects' training camp at keming on Thurday and Friday. The kids involved at the camp included not just prefects,but also 5 at-risk students identified by teachers.  Wenya,why that "pai" look? LMAO.Personally,I feel that over the 2 days of the camp,the prefects have picked up skills in terms of initiative, anger management as well as project work. They were able to apply these skills learnt during the games organised. I've also noticed some improvements in prefects in terms of their confidence to lead and the sense of belonging as a group.  Project presentation.The at-risk students are not exactly problematic students. Terrence,for example,follows instructions very well. He's also very well behaved but reclusive. I hope that Terrence can eventually learn how to work in a team;it will greatly improve his school life.  Terrence and the facilitators pose for a shot with their Satay Stick Structure. The other members of the group were camera-shy,I guess?I had facilitated group 2(Achievers) along with Wen Ya,Joy(only 1st day) and Song Ken during the camp. Achievers were initially very disunited and slow in demonstrating initiative. By the second day,gosh,I can truly say I'm proud of Achievers.  I'm back! After 9 days -.- For those who tagged, I'm really grateful(: Holidays isn't so fun after all. When I go out, it's to go to school for CCA and some random stuff. And when I get to stay at home, it's to sit at my desk and do algebra. Fun holiday life eh? It was not exactly all work and no play I have to admit. I went to the "Defense TechX" exhibition last week. Got my hands on the SAR 21 rifle. Borrowed it from a solider there. He even allowed me to take photos with it. Nice guy. Fast forward to today. I had thought I was going to be on time for band, but guess what? I had missed three 963s at one go. All of them were fully occupied, so the driver just waved at me and drove on. When I finally got on a 963,it was already 9.35am. So reported for band at 10.05am and got 50 pumpings as punishment. Cool eh? Year 3 subject combination results are out.  I haven't been blogging for 11 days already. Wow. I shall clarify something 1st. Even though I seldom explain things,I felt that I can't just sit back at this one. I never asked anyone to ask about your personal life. Why would I want to do that?? I have at least some level of maturity,which apparently,that person that asked that question don't. That person asked out of his own accord,or curiosity I might add. If you wonder how I know,that person told me about what he asked,for no apparent reason. Read this before you rant and start asking me to go to hell. -.- I'll miss 2G. Even though this class may not be the most united,but in the end,it feels rather bitter-sweet. 2Gether as one, aren't we? Got my results yesterday. 3.1. End of year pulled down my overall like mad. 我这一年来的努力功亏一篑，太不公平了！不论我那么努力，始终就无法达成我想达到的目标。去你妈的！ "Based on the Year 2 End-Of-Year Overall results, LIM WEI LIANG of class 2G achieved a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.1. This puts him at the 37.4 percentile and he does not qualify for the 9-subjects combination." Haunting words these are. I've always believed that if you work hard for it,you will realize your dream. Apparently,RV proves me wrong. After all these hardwork, the GPA in black and white are what that matters. Left with no other options,I'll have to choose Chem+Physics+Geog with Biomedical Science AEM. I want to appeal for triple science,but my chances are slim. What a cruel world this is. |
