Went to the RSAF open house at Paya Lebar airbase today. SK was with me. Reached Eunos MRT at about 0930. Reached the airbase at 1020. Had a fruitful trip today. Okay, I shall let pictures do the talking..

The long queue for the security check. The entrance. SK with the artillery helmet.
Sticking my hand into the hot air exhaust of a C-130. Retarded actually. One possible use of aircraft tyres: a couch. The interior of an C-130.
    On the C-130.

    On a Apache.

We can't enter the cockpit... So this will have to suffice.
The arrows highlight the difference in our heights..(Okay, I bent my knees abit)
The rain that followed this almost ended our fun. Luckily it was a short one. We were back to action soon after. We decided not to join the long queue in order to climb into a F-16 cockpit. So we sticked our heads into the afterburner?
"Remove before flight." SK with the F-16.

    Under the F-16.
Took this M-16 from the mannequin behind me.
Went home at about 1730. Had a haircut on the way back too. Now my hair looks wierd. I should start on the holiday homework soon. If not, I will die when it comes to the last day of the holidays. Enjoy your September holidays.
I think I'll still join the Navy. I love the sea more.

Had maths, the last paper today. It's now certain that I'll fail. I was so nervous, that I didn't tie the maths papers properly. Sigh.

Had class cleanliness grading after school, and gave 2G a reality check. Sorry for pissing you off, Xinzhe. And SC camp is on 2-4 sept.

Went home early today. It certainly felt good to be home early! Watched "Letters from Iwo Jima" DVD. I bought it during the june holidays, but I haven't touched it yet. hehs.

"Letters from Iwo Jima" made me feel a little emotional. I hate to see how tragic a situation the japanese soldiers were in. I Hate to see how they commited seppuku. And I hate to see how they fought to their deaths when the US marines landed. These men had family. But for the sake of these imbecillic idealogies of militarism and imperialism, these men gave their lives. War is often pointless.

I treasure the peace we have.
Oh, and also, RVCO is having a concert on Saturday. Matinee tickets selling for $10. Who wants to go?

Helpless in the face of storm.
Finally a pause in common test scedule. Had chinese paper today, and it was a challenging paper. Hope that I can get A1. Hoping against hope..

Mathematics next Wednesday. It is my Achilles' Heel, and I must not fail this time. I will do my best. I forgot to bring physics practical book today, so borrowed from Zhijie. Thanks Zhijie!

Assembly talk at LT 1 was boring. It was basically just propaganda for us to take up Bi-Cultural. Eugene swore that he would never take Bi-Cultural. Isn't that extreme?

My sister took back her maths CA2 paper today. 9/20(45%). She's only in P2. How can she get this kind of results? I scolded her until she almost cried.. I've failed as a elder brother. I've failed to teach her well. I'm responsible for her results. Before the test, I told Ma that she will do well. I've disappointed Ma. I'm sorry to shout at her, as it's my fault for not teaching her well.

    I'm a failure.

    Biology can be beautiful.
History paper today sucked. seriously. I think I'm going to fail this time. However, the person being tested in this paper is FDR(Roosevelt). I don't mind doing a exam on this hero, but I hated the questions. Long, tedious and hard to answer. sigh.

Had swimming, swammed 20 laps. Found that a good way to release stress. Gosh, it feels good after the swim. Went to Mac's for lunch, then went back to school to do the QSE survey. Waste of time..

Rushed back home to revise for Bio. I chiong-ed through the notes, relying on the assignment questions to guide me in which what to study. Memorised the ezyme-catalysed reactions, body parts of reproductive, transport and respiratory systems and tried my best to understand. Finished everything at 8.25pm. Scanned through the assignments to answer the questions to test my knowledge. Now praying that my memory can hold through tomorrow morning.

Having band prac tml. Sigh. Why can't they let us home to study?

I should sleep earlier tonight. A long day awaits me tomorrow. All the best for science everyone. Enjoy your day.

    2G, done by Yiyao. Thanks!
Thanks to Clementine and Zi Qian for the tag. And Zi Qian what did I tell you?
Mugging for history and science. I still have some doubts unanswered, but at least I'm a little more prepared for history paper tml. I must pass it at all costs.
I've noticed that you seem really burnt out recently. Brace yourself and overcome okay? A smile will always work; it's the curve that sets everything straight. Be positive! You are definitely not going to flunk. Believe in yourself.

All the best for history, science and chinese. Also enjoy this song "I don't wanna miss a thing" by Aerosmith. It's old, but nice.

Had Lang. Arts common test today. It was easier than I thought, especially the summary. Thank goodness we did not have to summarise the whole passage.

I can't understand how could I have sprained my neck while studying. It still hurts.. Oww... I pasted lots of medicinal plaster on my neck. I think it helps, but only a little. Hope that my neck gets okay by next week..

SC phototaking and band phototaking. Should I change into band uniform and take both photos in it? Or should I change after SC phototaking. But I may have no time...

All the best for geog, ppl.

    Wednesday, August 13, 2008 @ 5:53 PM

Common Tests is tml. I'm trying hard to revise rom all the geog slides. I guess it's abit of a information overload. I must own this time. If not, my grades will get pulled down by my assignments and I will screw up this year. Went home early today for the first time in months. Feels quite strange, as I'm already used to going home late. Slept on an empty 963 to make up for insufficient sleep. It's also been a long time since I could sleep on the bus, alone... It's a blessing.
Hey Luo Meng, all the best for your PSLE orals! Don't get too nervous till you cannot sleep k? Relax(:

Thank you Xinzhe and Naihui for the tag.

Had national day rehearsal today. Quite boring actually. And although we have tuba strap, it doesn't help much; your back still hurts like **. While standing at the track, I saw the National Flag flying in the breeze. That made a very photographic scene. I felt a sense of patriotism deep down, something I hadn't felt in a long time. Some food for thought.. Went home alone today.

I did another paiseh thing in band today. We were talking about the time to report tml, and some complained that it was too early. So some smart one suggested that we take the cab. Then I was remarking(rather loudly) "F* la!" The whole band was looking at me. Then my sectionmates started laughing. I should watch my tongue.

Have to report by 6.45am tml. Shall sleep early today.

    Into the unknown..

Today was the last band prac for sec 4s. Was feeling a little empty, now that our seniors were gone. I regretted not knowing them earlier..

Now it's left with Liu Yi, Yew Hui, me and the 2 sec 1s. SYF is coming soon, and we must work hard for it. Congrats Yewhui for being the next SL! And also Liuyi for being the ASL! Woots.

Oh ya, Shimin congrats for being the ASL of string bass!

I got caught by Ms Chan playing with the double bass. A little paiseh, heh.. I didn't quite memorise " Majulah Singapura ". Must cram everything into my mind.

My mind is empty; I can't find things to blog about. Sigh. I give up!

I hope that tml will be a better day for you.

    Monday, August 4, 2008 @ 8:07 PM

What a busy week! I've got ICAS english today, band on Tues, Wed, and Thurs. Mrs Chew didn't cancel the lesson today, so we managed to cook chicken stew. It came out very tasty. Can taste the sweet goodness of the carrots and onions...

I didn't feel like swimming today. Not in the mood. So I wasn't very focused during swimming lesson.. Was playing a fool and slacking. Went back to school to take ICAS. 靠,Mr Seetoh played hangman with the class during the last 5 minutes of the paper. I got distracted by people shouting letters and laughing. Almost couldn't finish. But I did. Phew. Mr Seetoh is seriously joker.

Yay, I haven't memorise " Majulah Singapura " for national day yet. I think I'm dead for tml's band.

    Friday, August 1, 2008 @ 9:41 PM

    Still defiant
Behind schedule for class cleanliness grading. As of today, there are 10 classes not yet graded. (6 from Ian's sec 4, 4 from my sec 2) I feel helpless..There's a feeling of not being able to do anything about this. I won't let this happen again.

Had band prac today. Henry skipped band due to piano exam. So I'm alone for the whole band prac(I'm taken out of Istana performance,so I go for sectionals while those performing go combined). Felt dumb sitting down there making sounds from my tuba. I keep playing the same few songs. I feel very stupid. Although not performing in the Istana is a regret, I would still say: "All the best, RVCB!"
Went home with Evan, Bryan and Yifei on 963. Today was a miracle. There were little people on the bus, only a few people standing, and the bus was roomy, unlike normal Friday evenings where we get crammed like sardines on the bus. Bryan have named this unusual phenomenon as the "Bryanday Phenomenon". Alright that's total crap.

Homework, common test, band and some other random sh*t that comes along here and there, I will be ready.
