E&C week was fun! We went to Negeri Sembilan for 3D2N. Visited lots of places.

    22/7/08

I reached school at 5.30am. Super early. Saw Siqi and his friend waiting outside the main gate. Saw shimin and her friends, Yujer and Shaun. The drink stall uncle came and opened the gate for us. Went in school at about 5.50am.

We set off at 7.15am,cleared customs and reached Yong Peng at about 11am. Then we continued to Tanjung Tuan(Cape Rachado). It is one of the few remaining forest reserves in Malaysia. We went through the marked trail to the Tanjung Tuan Lighthouse.

However, once we reached the lighthouse,we could not enter it,as the gate was locked. Thus,it was a pity that we did not get to enjoy the panoramic view of the Straits of Malacca.

It could be imagined that the view from the lighthouse would be spectacular. We went on to the Teluk Kemang Public Park, feeling disappointed.

The Teluk Kemang Public Park is a very popular beach for picnikers. At the beach, I saw a large four-wheeled motor vehicle cruising on the beach. I would try it if I had the chance to.

    23/7/08

We went to Seremban, the state capital of Negeri Sembilan. We went to the state museum, built without a single nail. (We spotted nails though.-.-) We explored the museum grounds and experienced the artifacts of the past.

I bought a "Chicken seed-eating" toy from the Cultural Handicraft Centre.

After visiting the museum,we went to the Jarem Toi waterfalls. We walked through paths of thorny branches and pools of liquidfied mud,we had to stop as there was no more path up to the waterfalls. On the way back,my feet sunk into a pool of mud and took away my shoe along with it. After a struggle,I pulled it out. Nevertheless,it was very addictive, even if it means having to walk with a wet and muddy shoe.

I then went on to Jusco to shop. Nice can? Stocked up on some pens. Drank latte from Starbucks and got scammed into buying 2 bags of wedges. Luckily Shaun,Eugene,Zisiang and Joel helped to finish them.

    24/7/08

Went to a Malay Kampung and had cultural exchange with them. Ate the traditional malay lunch and tried some fruits from the fruit orchard. Xinzhe ate lots of durian. I bet he's feeling horny.(The tour guide said that durian has a Viagra-like effect.)

We then went to the Orang Asli village for a tour and to distribute rice to them. That marked the end of our trip to Negeri Sembilan. Took 4 hours to arrive back in Singapore, and I bought some Tambun biscuits from Yong Peng before continuing back on our way to Singapore. Was dead beat from the lack of sleep, but 100% fun! Looking forward to OBS next year. 6 hours of canoeing. woots.
